I have a 2005 Nitro NX882 DC, 150 Optimax.

1. when shut own after a run to fishing spot the tep rises to about 170de F. the thermostats are 141 ans the water pressure is 12psi while running and about 1psi at idle hot. anyone else have this issue, is it normal.

2. slow sppeds on plane sometimes eels like the prop is slipping. There is no slip on take off and no other problems that I can pinpoint.

With out cool water flowing through the system, the temp gauge will rise as the sitting water matches the temp of the engine.

After I make a long run I will let the motor idle for a short while to keep the water pumping until it cools down OR I will back off the throttle a bit for the last minute or so of the run...

I always let mine idle till the temp is down to 132, which is it's normal idle temp

I basically drop off plane, and put the motor in neutral to let it idle while I coast in and get the TM down. Then I kill it.
