I live in Texas.... we don't get snow... who did this?

I bet it was Rob.....

When I took the cover off Saturday the weather man said nothing about snow, or even rain for that matter. When I get up to go on Sunday, this is what I found.

LOL Kraig

That's NOT snow. That's called a "dusting"! You want snow? I'll send you SNOW! LOL

yey, thats 5 cans of woolite carpet cleaner at 6:45 am...

I couldn't sleep!!!! LOL Kraig

yea rob lets send him some snow. in my are were due for another 16 or more inches today.

Yikes,

Good ole Virginia got over 2 feet + sleet. I shoveled the driveway 4 times yeaterday and I am heading out to do it again right now (it's a great excuse to have a cigar). I almost fainted yesterday, snowplow driver after piling up a 4 foot wall in front of my driveway actually backed up and pushed it out of the way....I was floored.

Lucky for you TOX!

Last time I got a snowplow driver to do that for me was AFTER I gave him a fifth of Jim Beam!!!

'course, he did it the rest of the season too!!!

Usually they sit at the end of the road and watch you shovel, and just when you finish, they plow it right INTO your driveway and laugh. Driver did that to me one night and I threw my shovel at his truck! LOL He just laughed and kept on going. Paybacks are a B$%@#.

Here, check out the blizzard in NYC, Times Square. Am I glad I didn't go this week! LOL

HAHAH You should have seen the snow on MY boat!!!! Was about 2 feet worth....Took us 3 hours to shovel the driveway and that was after doing it once yesterday!!!!

Ours was not as big a surpise as yours was Kraig. They were hyping it up 3 days in advance.

Carlos

I grew up in Dallas and that was enough snow to close the schools.

Harpo

Do people in Texas even know how to drive with that much snow on the ground?

T.S.

Texans must of softened up. They were "Damn Yankees" when I lived there. ;-)))

than on them idiots who can only fish 2 weeks out of the year. Winterizing a boat... blah!

Took about 1/2-3/4" of ice off my boat cover yesterday. We didn't get much freezing rain, but did get slush/sleet/frozen rain on Sunday. Stuck some on the trees, but not enough to cause falling limbs and downed trees again.

Tex

I would rather have the 2 feet of snow than ice. Ice is a crippler, at least you can shovel snow. Now the reports are starting to come in about the idiots in DC. 3 childern dead (left in a snowbound car). 1 infant dead (left in a running car while people tried to shovel it out). DC never ceases to amaze me.

Tox,

Powerplant was the plan until the storm hit :) Took me 3 hours to do the driveway and I do nto have a big driveway!!! Was worn out and did not even finish shoveling the boat out yet.......

No kidding on the ice, glad we jsut had the sleet and not the ice!!

Carlos

Toxic,

I always feel bad when children die or are injured because of the adult that was responsible for them. I think some people should have to take a "common sense" test before having kids. I really don't care if they think that their rights are being infringed upon. I can't think of too many reasons for anyone in the DC/Maryland area that had to travel with children during a storm that is in the magnitude of "state of emergency"!!

Bob G.

It's a sad state of affairs but I have seen too many instances where children are treated like "pets" (sometimes not even that good). Plus some people are just ignorant of certain types of danger. True, accidents happen but mant, many could be prevented. I think it is a "big city" attitude where life is just not as sacred and children are not "special" for lack of a better word. Broken familys, inner city blight....yada, yada. AND you have people from all countries of the word who just don't know any better....how do you explain frostbite to someone from Rawanda who has never felt a temp. below 70??

TOXIC

Stick their head in the freezer for 10 minutes and ask, "howdat fee?" When they get the point, then release them! As for kids dieing due to neglegence, involuntary manslaughter 1st degree, no questions asked! Absolutely NO excuse for leaving your kid in a running car in a snow storm. Remember the lady in NY that left he infant to run from the bear and it mauled and killed the baby? That women needs to lose her children and be locked up. I know, I KNOW, there's more to the story. Any of you who are parents kindly explain to me how you run from a bear to "help" the 2 children that can run and leave the infant???? Can you say brain dead? You give the infant to the 2 kids and tell them to RUN, then you distract the bear or sacrifice yourself to stop the bear from killing your kids. Common sense, but unfortunately it's not so common anymore. I like Bob's idea, you need a license for everything else in this crazy nation, why not one for procreation. If you are found unfit, or mentally uncapable of raising children your tubes get tied or you get the V. Simple, end of story! And I bet that NOT coincidentally, welfare would get cut in half, because those same morons are the ones eating up our tax dollars and making more babies they can't take care of.
