My mechanic thinks I have an issue with hose going into my tank. I have had a lot of work on the engine lately not staying running. He feels like the hose coming from the tank in the tank is getting stopped up. He can't move the tank enough because of how big and where it is enough to get it out. I have a 2004 nitro 185 sport fish n ski with a 115 mercury. It will run with an outside gas tank. Don't really want to do that because eliminates skiing. Anyone had to do this and have ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

Thank you will try
Sounds like the fuel outlet fitting tube in the tank maybe sucking air . You should be able to unscrew it from the tank and see if the screen might be clogged or the tube that is attached to the tank fitting is loose and sucking air. While you are there might as well replace the hose all the way to the motor.

I've had to replace fuel hose from tank to motor because of hose failure. The ethanol deteriorated the lining of the hose and caused same problem you described.
