Man this TX summer fishin is tough! Today is 104 degrees. It's hard to find these bass with 84 degree water temps. Just curious of what other people try during these dog days of summer and what your go-to-baits are when it's this hot and hard to find them??

TN Cass

Go Vols!!

Cass - You must be WAY up north, 84 degree water, that's not summer thats early spring!!!! LOL

I had Eli and a friend out today, it was 93 degrees surface temps!!!!

For Bass, I always have a tough time in the summer, our lake has little if no natural structure, so the guys who do good fish off personaly sunk brush piles, or one's they've found! I gotta make me some!!

Dan and I are going in the AM, let you know how we do.

It's usualy around here jig/pig, CR lizards and deep cranks and hit/miss catching!

Trep..........guess again.......I fished a lake here in Southern MAINE this afternoon....water was 84. Managed to get four and mama got one. Biggest was 3-4.

I like Uncle Billy's idea..

Trep's fish come already deep fried..:p

I like Uncle Billy's idea too, too bad i'm going to KY next weekend instead of to Uncle Billy land like my wife and kids :-(

Steve - Its about that hot down here this summer!!

Bill - the brother-n-law isn't taking a camping trip this time, so its realy best for everyone if I meet Sim in KY for the weekend then throw the family up there in a tizzy! I'll make it up, don't you worry, or if you and nancy get cold this winter, load up the pups and come on down. Nancy can enjoy the hot tub, the dogs will love my kids and our fenced in back yard, and you and I can slam the fall bass!!!

To be honest...I can't hardly breath in this crap!

So I stay mostly inside with a cold one in hand:cool:
