I have a 2024 Nitro Z18. I want to replace the Interstate trolling motor batteries (group 31)with Tracker Lithium batteries (group 24). Will I need new battery trays?
Thanks

Amazon and Ebay have a lot of lithium batteries with super prices. Check out the reviews on You Tube. Some of the Chinese brands are proving to be really good quality. Li-time and Weize, just name two quality brands. I bought 2 of the 12v 100ah Weize batteries off E-bay for $260 including tax with free shipping. They are fantastic. running my 24v Ultrex more than 3 days and using less than 40% of their capacity. To be clear I bought two (2) for a total cost of $260! They weigh in at 22 pounds each. The weight difference from Lead/acid batteries was very noticeable on the Z18.

I did a good bit of research before I made this swap. You will need a new charger dedicated to the LIFEP04 tech.
Do not charge these to 100% every time you come home. This damages the battery's long term. should manage between a 80%-20% capacity in use most of the time. See this video- very good information.

Great video. Now I’m going to have to research this and see if it applies to smaller lithium batteries, leaf blowers, weed eaters, and such. Thanks
