Awhile back, I posted about the carpet on my TV-18 separating from the deck in a few places. I am in the process of fixing the problem. I've fixed all the spots on my front and rear deck, now I need to do the main floor.
I used a meat injector with about 18 inches of surgical tubing attached to the needle. I removed some of the screws in my deck and utilized those holes in the carpet to access underneath. I inserted the surgical tubing through the screw holes in the carpet and applied DAP waterproof contact cement to the decking, then rolled the carpet with a dough roller. It has worked out great so far. The contact cement goes through the injector very easily and just a little bit goes a long way.
I can't recall who gave me the meat injector idea here...but thank you...it is the perfect tool for the job.
