IS BOB B STILL AROUND, OR ANYONE WHO HAS KNOWLEDGE IN THIS AREA, PLZ HELP, MUCH THANKS

I do think there are specialized tools to do this job. Might be cheaper to have it done at a repair facility than buy the tools!

Agree with Mini. The lower unit needs to come apart to have this done.

ive changed rear difs, gears and bearing, ect, i found a schematic on it, it doesnt seems to complicated, just wondering if anybody here has done one, as to give me any usefull tips,so i dont do any unnecessary steps, and any tips to insure its done correctly,...seems like a days work to me......the shops want 700.00 plus parts, one guys says he can straighten it......not sure about that route.........anyone ???? thanks guys!

If you plan on doing the job yourself, I recommend buying the Merc repair manual for your motor.
