So I'm trailering my boat to my secret fishin hole. My question is should I put the motor in gear so the prop does not free wheel in the breeze?

Why, are you worried about attracting other anglers with the sound it makes while spinning? I don't think it would be a problem.

I put my motor in gear when I am trailering it. This keep the prop from spinning and saves wear on the bearings in the lower unit.

I never do. I have yet to see one with the prop spinning while trailering. Only seen it on some of the big center consoles. Not enough air movement back there to spin a prop. I don't think it is recommended but I also don't think it will hurt anything.

Never have and it takes more than you think to spin my prop:lol:
