A buddy and I fished Lake Anna this past Sunday to help him prep for an upcoming club tourney. This was my first trip there and I've got to say I kind of like it.
I caught 7 and my buddy caught 3. My 7 consisted of 3 on a medium running Fat Free Shad and 4 on a slider head with a 6 inch straight tail worm. All were keepers with two of the crankbait fish weighing in the 3 lb range and one of the worm fish weighing in the 4 1/2 lb range. My partner caught 2 on a green pumpkin Kinami and 1 on the same slider head set-up I was using. It was a great day of fishing even after a battery issue caused us not to get started fishing until 9:00 am.
Of course if experience holds true, my buddy won't get a bite next week on anything we caught fish on this weekend.
