Bob,

1996 120 tracker/mariner/force/mercury

While running ~40mph @ gps up the river yesterday, motor suddenly bogged down and quit. I let it sit a few (< 5 min.), primed the bulb and it started back. Got on plane, ran about 1 mile and again, it bogged down and quit. Waited a few, primed the bulb again, but no luck that time. Ended up drifting/trolling to a near-by ramp to get a ride back to truck and trailer.

I had idled (~4mph) for about 10 min watching side-imaging just prior, but had water stream from p-hole. Could it have over-heated, and would that have caused the issue?

Thanks for any input.

BTW, new fuel filter, plugs and bulb about a month ago. I'm pretty much forced to use E-10, but run Sea Foam regularly.

If you have to "prime" it every time it stalled, it more than likely is the fuel pump. Replace the "pulse pump" and give it another go!!

After looking into it, I found "kits" for the fuel pump. Rather than taking it apart and "kit"ing (I'm not confident I'll do it right), do they make a replacement complete?

Searching for a paper that I wrote the SN down on. Can't find it as yet and away from boat so it may be a few days. Can I email it to you say, Monday?
