96' nitro w/ hydraulic steering is getting dangerous. Steering wheel "spins" several times before the motor actually moves then over corrects. Sometimes has a "jerking" in the wheel while your tring to turn. Fast slow what ever.
This web site says to add fluid/ purge from the filler screw on helm, while turning from lock to lock (paraphrasing)
http://www.boatingmag.com/maintenance/diy-projects/how-add-fluid-hydraulic-steering
Is this the correct method or does it have to be serviced at the cylinder under motor.
Have enjoyed the web site thanks for keeping it going.
Hope Bob comes along before next week.
Thanks
