does anyone know what gauge trolling motor wire came with a 2001 929 I can't find any markings on my wires.

Hi there;
When we had our Ultrex installed, we found a number 6 Gauge wire from Batteries to the TM.
As I recall, an 8 gauge wire is the absolute minimum for a TM Amperage.
Unless I'm mixed up this morning 6 gauge wire is heavier than 8 gauge. There is an inverse relationship on wire number and the size of it...
6 gauge wire is thicker than 8 gauge wire. Wire gauge is an inverse metric that measures the physical size of a wire, with smaller numbers indicating larger diameters. For example, in the American Wire Gauge (AWG) system, a 6 gauge wire has a larger diameter than an 8 gauge wire. In fact, for every 6 gauge decrease in AWG, the wire diameter doubles.
