Message to PETA - how many animal lives taken per day that were hit by automobiles in the U.S., counting rats, cats, dogs, squirrels, cows, deers, muskrats, moles, turtles, amarillos, and list goes on. Most people cared? Not really, they either just keep on going or get pissed at the carcass for the damages. Millions of cows and chicken bled to death to serve us with meats. Thousands of tons of shrimp, crabs, lobsters, and fishes were taken out of their habitat to sell for food (commerical fishers has killed a lot more than all of us fishers combined maybe by ten fold). What did PETA do about it? Maybe some, and what can they do - nothing! Heck, they probably had to eat and has killed a couple of the animals on the road.
Hunters and fishers did a lot better, in fact, they took a lot less and put a lot more into the economy. Most of them are aware of the limits and respected it with heart. What PETA should do instead of telling us to take a HIKE, they should think twice to educate people how to handle the catch, how to keep the envirnoment clean, and what to do if you hit the animal - at least provide tips to reduce the mortality rate and overall abuse to the animals without affecting both pleasure and economy.
That's my thoughts that the PETA should be doing, otherwise I think they're downright idiots.
