I’ve searched in vain for my ignition switch (2014 Z9/250 Optimax ProXS), but cannot find it. I can easily get the switch without the pigtail (wires only) but not the entire thing. Tracker will sell me one for $140 (!!!).

Can anyone help point me toward a compatible, reasonably priced switch? 🙏🏻

TIA!

Well you have 4 choices from what I can see.
1. Buy socket pins for the current connector and crimp them on the new switch and reuse old housing/connector. That green block in the center of the connector pops out releasing the pins/wires from housing with the assistance of another release tool. This would be my choice, but I work as an engineer and have access to pins, crimping/releasing tools needed to do the job. Finding out which pins the old connector uses will be the hardest part for someone who does not have access to a library of them to compare. The manufactures info may be on the housing pointing you in at least some direction for socket pins.
2. Buy a new set of male/female connectors with pins/sockets to match and crimp/install new connectors on boat and switch, or change to different type of connection totally That is more easily serviced with available cheaper part (a small terminal block array or serviceable quick connector comes to mind).
3. Cut connector off old switch and splice each wire on new ignition switch with solder, heat shrink and a dab of dielectric under heat shrink. Leave yourself enough wire on the connector to make this repair again if needed. Properly done this is a solid repair assuming connector is in good condition.
4. Pay 140.00 american dollars.

What RippenLipz said, I would go for # 3 because that's what I did. Fast, easy and cheap. However I did buy the Mercury switch.
