A couple weeks ago I blew my 100 amp fuse link on my Opti (battery hooked up backwards I guess), my alternator didn't work and wasn't charging my starting battery. I only ran the motor for a half hour at most.
The 100 amp fuse was replaced, but now my on board charger overcharges my battery (can hear it boiling, ran almost 3 hours last night :huh ) even though my alt. charges again.
So do I have a bad battery from the blown fuse and running the motor, or do I have a bad bank in my onboard charger? The 2 other banks charge my trolling motor batts just fine.
Ok, I figured it out - bad battery. Sorry for the post
