running lights

in mississippi you are supposed to run both the front red and green lights and the rear white pole lights but i cant get them both to work together i push nav light down the rear white light works i push the light switch up the front green and red light comes on is there a trick to get both of them to work or burn at the same time

The rear white light should come on with the switch in the anchor position. All should be on in the other switch position. Might be a problem with the switch or connections.

Corrosion is my first guess. If they work independantly, then they should work tied at switch. Check all connections at switch and pole bases. (WD-40 and .17 wire gun brush pole base terminals) It may even be a weak main lead connection at fuseblock limiting load, but I'd check the previous first. Good luck!
