OOOO-WEEEE 4 out of 5!

Well gang, I put my 11 year old son Jacob back in the boat as my partner last night and WE took first place!!! At least my son can catch fish (not like my friend that fished with me the last 2 tournaments-hahaha)...and get this...Jake caught the BIG BASS!!! His hog tipped the scales at 5lb 9oz!!! $100 and now he's rich (again)! It is his current big bass! He was the only fisherman that had to get going afterwards because it was bedtime!!! I added a measly 2lb 9oz'er to the live well and we had enough for 1st place. I think just being in the presence of Ken, Mac, and Marke last Friday gave me the "right stuff"! (Or maybe it was residual tequila smell that rubbed off onto the lures - HA) I'm convinced that the TV-18 has to be attracting all these bass...3 hr tournament and we caught both fish within 15 minutes of each other about 2 hours into it. Only 2 more tournaments left this season...hope I can keep the string going...

Jake is really getting good!!! I spoke with KVD earlier this spring about what I could do to get him even more experience...He suggested entering him in tournaments where he fishes with a different parnter each week...He's says that is how he picked up many of his techniques...I'm going to look into some tournaments in our area this winter and maybe get into some next spring. Jake learns fast...and he keeps the "I'm gonna catch a fish" attitude going too!



Anyone else have any advice for a "budding" basser???

Sweet, good job Andy. On the fishing too! LOL Keep him hooked and you'll have a pro on your hands by the time he's 18! Sounds like those boys in your club are gonna get sore pretty soon, getting constantly whooped! Keep it up. And get some pics man! It's not every day your kid wins big bass. Well for you maybe every other week, but not every day! Congrats again.

Rob-I think the guys in the club were already sore before last Tuesday! hahaha These are some good fisherman! Several of them fish the local NBAA...so, it's gotta be that mighty TV-18 that does it for me!!!
