Hey guys,

the weather is looking to be very unsettled for Saturday with the chance of heavy rain and T storms.

Looks like i am going to bow-out unless there is a change in the forcast by the days end.

GregD

Im unsure as well. I have plans to be up there for a grad party in the afternoon anyway but i will wave to watch the weather and plan accordingly.

I think I am still going to go as long as there isn't any lightening. Sunday looks worse. Jim - the beds are across from the ramp near the beach and to the right as well?

Bill,

correct, also check the shore line directy across from from the state beach. follow around to the point and along the ahore heading north.

There is a Triathalon there Saturday. Be sure to be at the ramp by 7:00 and you will not be able to leave before 1:00.

Good luck

G.

Bill they are all over the place. I may still go as well i just need to see exactly what the weather will do. Give me a call tonight and i can describe it to you.

Greg - will they block you off if you get there after 7am or is it that the lot will be full? I am meeting a few friends with boats at the rest area on the 93 MA/NH border and will need to tell them to meet me before 5am instead of 6:30 if that is the case. Also, do you know if this they are going to prevent you from pulling up on shore across form the cafe? I was going to grab a bite at lunch time there.

Jim - I just sent you an email.

i am sure you will be able to access the state park to launch and park. They start to block the roads around 9ish.

Not sure about using the state beach. That is pretty much the hub for the race. I would plan to not use the beach.

Bill i just sent you one too with some maps etc

Thanks Jim - I will call you later after the evening news and weather. Bill, the MadKayaker

Good Luck guys I wish I could get to nH this weekend. Just got to much going on. Curious to know how you make out. Good luck

Alright, the weather Gods have made enough of a change for Saturdays forcast and i am back in. I plan to be at the ramp around 7:15ish. Leaving Pelham at 6:00.

Bill what time do you think you will be at the rest area? i will be just ahead of you at exit 3. maybee i will catch you as you are heading by.

if not i will see you at the ramp

GregD

What are the weather gods saying now? I just looked on NOAA and its not changed from this morning.

I had told the guys who are thinking of meeting me I would meet them at 6:30 at the border rest area. Looks like a 60% chance pf rain on Bristol with scattered thunderstorms.

Greg - looks like I will be about 30 minutes behind you.

Bill

Bill did my maps make sense?

Jim - Thanks! Just downloaded them from email and they are great and your descriptions made perfect sense.

Now I just need pointers from you for fishing the Sudbury Concord River in Bedford ...

Thanks again, Bill, the MadKayaker

I will see both of you there tomorrow morning!!! Bill, the MadKayaker

Jim,

the first report i saw this AM was rain all day with 15mph winds. That was from the weather.com site. My regular weather site was down. i checked the weatherunderground at 3:00 and they are calling for showers tonight with a chance of T storms for pretty much all of New England. then rain showers after 2:00.

Thats enough for me to take the trip. hope they got it right and the wind is calm and rain holds for a couple of hours.

See you there.

GregD

Saturday

Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely in the morning...then partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Patchy fog. Some thunderstorms may produce gusty winds...small hail and heavy rainfall. Highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

lets hope the small hail and gusty winds stay to the south or far north.

Greg, how are things. Going to look at a 3 season on the lake at Newfound in two weeks. Let you know what happens.

Good to see you guys today. we only managed about 15 or so fish. biggest 4.19lb smallie on a wacky 4"senko.

surprised to see them off the beds. it is still early for that lake. i would have bet money that they would still be on strong. probably plan to head back in a couple of weeks. I let you know what the plans are.

BillW,

this are good, Newfound is a spectacular lake> good luck with that.

let me know if you purchase, ill stop in some day and harass you.

GregD

Greg - good to see you as well. What started out as pretty ominous weather turned out to be a nice day on the lake. I didn't manage to get my 5lb smallie but caught up with JimB and landed enough of them to be happy although the annual Lake Winnisquam running of the smallies really spoils you. Me and my friends stayed around and grabbed lunch at the local cafe on the beach and then headed back to the launch at around 3pm. We missed the bad weather on the lake completely but it surfaced as we got back into MA. Looked like very strong winds or a micro tornado touched down and threw some trees onto 93 South and made for only one lane being open which caused quite a delay.

Anyway - would you be up for a run to Squam, Winni or Kezar Lake later this summer? Of course I plan on running into you at Bow Lake a few times but figured I would plant the seed now for a fun fish Saturday or Sunday get together. I think Jim said he would be up for a day on Squam.

Jim - as always, it was good seeing you and catching up. I don't have the Y-cable but I hope you get some good use out of the weather sense monitor.

Bill, the MadKayaker

Bill,

count me in. i have never fished Squam. It is on my list of lakes to fish this year. Let me know when, were and i will meet you at the ramp.

Glad you missed the weather. I really thought you were guys were in for a problem on the water. I got a call from my brother while i was getting on the highway. They had 60mph winds and quarter size hale at Sunappee and it was moving East. I saw the wreckage that came from that micro burst on 93. the traffic was still affected at 7:00.

it looked like a tornado came across the highway.

Glad you made it home in one piece.

See you on the water

GregD

It was good to see you guys too. I was suprised that no weather came thru. I was in plymouth at my friends house until about 9:00 and it stayed good the entire time. Im glad i missed that storm on the ride home.

Im down for a squam trip for sure. I think i have a couple dates in July for my club so o will let you both know what me deal is when i figure it out. I think i have august 100% free too.

Bill, thanks again for that Weather sense module, its goign to get some good use for sure once i learn how to really make sense of the data it gives. I just got a battery for it this morning so i should be 100% on it once i pop it in and screw it down.
