VERY nice! Should give a "bit more" HP. =^) (Psssst...if she's in the giving mood, now's the time to upsize the boat!) LOL!

Put some glass behind that beast and you'll be all set. Which motor did you get? Tranny Cooler? Tow pkg.? Details, details!!

Mo, you didnt go to the dark side.... you saw the light.

I have a buddy who owns the same truck, that 2500 will pull down a house with that hemi in it. He plows with his and biy will it push snow. He has the 4.10 gears so the gas milage isnt all that great but bow what a truck. Makes me want to trade my dakota in.

Congrats on the new ride. I have a question does your wife have a sister? :)

Dodge Ram and TV-18. What a combination. I got that combo also and love 'em both. I don't have the Hemi, though. That's a beast of an engine.

I was out truck shopping with my son and drooled over that very truck (right down to the paint)... But, my wife won't let me buy a Dodge till they make the back seat even bigger... So, it will have to be a new Ford Crew Cab again... not a bad runner-up but not the "TRUCK" that the 3/4 ton Hemi is... (Me=jealous)....

I was worried! Nice truck!

Pretty cool MO! Now only if it were a Chevy pulling that tin boat :)

Seriously, nice truck!!!

Sweeeeeeet! Nice ride Mo, now all you need is a glass boat to tow behind it! LOL Good thing there is SOMEBODY intelligent in that marriage (his wife for picking the Dodge!) LOL Actually I believe you can't go wrong with Dodge or Ford. Had and loved them both.

Nice Ride MO!!!

I'm thinking there is now NO LIMIT to how far you could tow that awesome TV-18 to go fishing!!!

I'll be doing something similar to that in the spring (the boat will be paid off!!!)

Oooo Oooo that smell!!!

have fun,

az

P.S. I KNEW that the 'dark side' would NEVER mean a glass boat!!!

MO - My wife still misses her 96 Dodge Club Cab with the 5.7ltr V-8.

SWEEEET Truck! I KNEW you'd not go crazy and get a 'glass boat!

Greg - Must be 7ft tall folks! i'm almost 6ft and had no problem in the 96 Dodge rear seat!

Thanks, guys!

The biggest change has been the braking power of 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and the pulling power of the Hemi. Oh, and having to use a step ladder to climb up into the cab!

It seems to be much safer pulling the boat now, and I can see better when backing the boat into the garage.

The missus hasn't objected to one item on my "wish list". The running boards are ordered (from Cabela's) and will be installed by the dealership along with the splash guards. The tonneau cover will probably be my birthday/Christmas gift this year.

I also considered the Crew Cab Ford F-250, but we don't have kids so the back seat and doors don't need to be that big for us, and the difference in horsepower, torque and the warranty put us squarely in Dodge country.

Kraig:

Thanks for your responses!

We didn't get the one I e-mailed you about. That one was gloss black, but didn't have some of the options this one had already installed. I would've had to take out a hard bedliner in order to have the spray-in installed, and the black just showed too much dirt, dust, fingerprints and bird crap. On the graphite, the dirt isn't as noticable.

We got virtually the same deal.

I really appreciate the fact that you took time to post here, send me an e-mail and talk on the phone. No post-purchase dissonance (buyer's remorse) yet, thanks to your input.

BTW - Can you tell me if this is true?: The 2500 doesn't have a front suspension skid plate as an option because it has a solid front axle.
