Glad you had a good time. I have been talking to everyone I know about how much fun I had!! I talked to my fishing partner as I was driving home in the rain and he said that he and another guy caught over 100 crappies the day before all this crap hit!! I wish I would have went ahead and stayed another day, because I can't even get to my fence job for another day or so when the SNOW melts!!

I had an e-mail from Doug when I got home and wish I would have gotten it before I left.(sorry again Doug) I hope you guys had a"pepsi" or two for me!

I'd love for you to come out and Crappie fish with me sometime and am looking forward to getting out there to catch some toads!

Wife don't know it yet, but my step-dad and I were thinkig about going to the St. Louis show!

JUST DROVE ACROSS THE DAM AND I'LL BE DAMNED IF THERE ISN'T ICE ON THE LAKE!!! I guess they will get a rest for a couple more days! It is supposed to be 60 degrees by Wed. so I guess I will wait a couple more days!

As soon as my boat gets back from the shop (if it isn't sold yet) the Mini Man and I will be out stickin' Crappie and perch,........I'll be in the mood to quit drawing fish for awhile and start fryin' some!! LOL!!

Hope to see you again in St. Louis,........bring your rods,..I'll hook you up!! Seeya soon!!

Mac,

Won't be able to make St. Louis! My step dad does the nuclear outage thing and has to be in Arkansas that weekend for the first day of the job! Don't be too hard on those Crappies and Perch! We have perch in our little lake here caught some a few years ago and can't seem to find them again. I didn't even know that they were in there until I caught the first one. I told my buddy "Isn't this those things that Al Linder catches on TV" Sure was good eatin though. Good luck!

That's funny!! I was telling Tommy Skarlis and Gary Parson's (both Nat'l Walleye Pro's) this past weekend, that I can't draw walleyes very good when someone asks for one on a rod handle ,...I said,.."I can draw a walleye filet in a frying pan though!!"...they both cracked up...and Tommy said,.."You oughta try practicing with that pen and a little less with the ginsu!"...LOL great guys those two!!!

Mac

Speaking of Tommy Skarlis, my wife commented on how all the pro's we talked to were so genuine and even included her in our conversations. So when we were visiting friends ahter we returned to the real world and I was going on about how nice everyone was she would even comment on how they all made her feel like she was part of the conversation.

I already have been contacted by the guy from St. Croix rods so hopefully that will work out. He said he would be sure to look me up when he came in this area! Put me right back on cloud nine. I was surprised that he got back to me so soon!!

Ice is off the lake again so I might try the slabs tomorrow afternoon for a little while!

Tim

Tommy's a great guy,...when he won the PWT last April on the Det Rvr up here we all went out partying with him that night,...needless to say,..he didn't stick around very long at the store on sunday morning!! LOL,...He wasn't feeling too good!! We sure had a ball though,...he was on cloud 9!!

Good luck with the St.Croix gig,...they make some nice stix!! Holler if you need any help!!

Good luck with the slabs this weekend too,.......I'll be drawing all day saturday, building rod combo's saturday night, and going to Lansing sunday morning with the wife and kids for the Casting Kids Championship.......I donate framed custom prints to the winners of each age group...they love'em!

In fact, the 2 guys from ESPN/BASS talked to me in Springfield about doing something like that for the Nat'l winners at the Classic this summer in Birmingham....that would Rock!!! Will keep you posted!

Mac

If you need an assistant give me a hollar!! I can carry your pens and keep people from knocking the tips of the rods off the table while you are working on them. or maybe just stand there and hand you my knife!LOL!!

good luck with it, if anyone deserves it you do!

Tim

Sorry Mini! I was just referring to the incidents at Springfield!! But, If YOU need an assistant..LOL!!

Tim

No THAT's a guy with a plan...."the Towel Man's Towel Man!!"

Ya gotta start somewhere!!!! Tim,..you'll be KING of the world some day!! LOL

Mac

Well as "frothed up" as I have seen you, someone holding that "roll" of towels needed to towel you off would be an asset.....
