I POSTED A MESSAGE LAST WEEK ABOUT ADDING A PUMP OUT ON MY LIVEWELL FOR MY 2001 882.I SPOKE WITH ROGER MILLER AT FLOW RITE ABOUT THIS AND HE SUGGESTED THAT I INSTALL A PUMP OUT AREATOR INSTEAD OF INSTALLING A PUMP AND CONTROL.I BOUGHT THE AREATOR TODAY AND IT WORKS AWESOME.ALL YOU DO IS REPLACE THE ORIGINAL AREATOR HEAD WITH THE NEW ONE CONECT THE HOSE AND RUN A HOSE AND THRU HULL CONECTOR OUTSIDE THE BOAT SOMEWHERE AND YOUR DONE. THE HOLE PROJECT TOOK ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES AND COST ME ABOUT 28 DOLLARS. THAT INCLUDED THE AREATOR HEAD,THRU HULL CONECTOR,AND THE HOSE TO RUN TO IT.ITS WELL WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY,THIS SHOULD HAVE COME EQUIPED ON THE BOAT. ITS A GREAT OPTION.

Brad, I sent you a email asking some questions, but i forgot to ask if you if you had to install two of the pump-out aerators or just one, and if you just had to install one, what causes the water not to be pumped into the livewell when you use the pump-out aerator? I thought there were two aerators on a NX882? Thanks Mike

Mike, the 882 has 2 pumps. The one on the left is a fill only as there is no control valve on that side. The pump out is installed on the right livewell by adding the pump out valve and actuator control.

Brad, I understand now about the pump-out and why it would not let any water back into the livewell. So I should install the pump-out aerator on the right side of the livewell. Is that were you put it?

Russ,

Thanks, I understand now, the left side is aux. fill and has is own on/off switch. The right side is main fill, which has the valve/pump together. So when you put the pump-out aerator on you move the control to recul. and the aux fill switch to off so no water is pumped back into to livewell. Then turn on the main fill/recul pump and the water is pumped out using the new pump-out aerator. Looks simple but I was thinking I had only one switch for the pumps but I see now I have two (one aux. fill/one main fill/recul). Thanks guys. Brad I'm going with the new pump-out aerator, seems more simple to install instead for a new valve and controls. Plus just one hole to saw into the boat. Again guys Thanks
