Livewell and storage oder

How do you guys stop these smells?? I leave mine open, but still have oder.

I dont have any problems with odor oni the storage compartments but the livewells is a whole different story.



I had a dead fish in there once for two days and it stank like grim death. I consulted my mother and she suggested vinegar and water to clean them out. It worked like a charm, no more smell.



I also got a suggestion from a friend on keeping smells out and that was some activated charcoal like the kind you use for a fish tank. I got a jar of it from walmart that has a screw on top. i just take the top off and put the jar in the well and close the lids when the boat isnt going to be used for a week or more. no more funny smells at all, i just have to remember to take the jar out before i move the boat. for what it cost ( somewhere around $4 for the jar) it really has done the trick.
