Here is the deal... Bought a yr 2000 Tracker Targa 2000 this last summer. This is a fiberglass boat. Been having trouble keeping it 100% dry. Is it normal to get a little water in the back? If so how much would be normal. After about 2 1/2 hrs. of fishing when I pull it out of the water I get approx. 3 gal of water when I pull the plug. I've tried to check most of the plumbing and I can't find much leaking. I know I have a little leak around the plug. (have a new one coming) When sitting on the water after 1 to 2 hr. I try to run my bilge and it will not pick up any water. What's the thoughts out there? Just leave it and not worry about it? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!!!:D:D Thanks!!

One thing you can do is; while it is on the trailer, put some water in the bilge and look for a leak. You want to make sure the hull is level and that you don't put more than 10-15 gallons into the bilge (weight). That should be enough to show up any small leaks.

Another place to look is for backwash when you come off plane... Is water getting in then, say around the cable boot?
