My AA "Birthday"!

23 Years of continuous Sobriety!

I'm off to work.

Just had to share it with my Friends!

God Bless!

me!

Good for you. I wish several members of my family had followed your lead. Keep up the good work.

Harpo, a sober Okie is an unhappy Okie. Alcohol is the only thing that makes the Sooners appear to be a decent team (I don't follow college football, so for all I know, they've been unbeaten the last 10 years, but I digress).

Me!, congrats for being sober on Labor Day.

Congrats Me, I haven't touched a drop in 20 plus years. I don't need to anymore.

Good luck in everything you do .

Excellent. Here's to your next 23...(toasting with my coffee mug)

Congrats me! ! That must have been a difficult decision to make if you made it 23 years ago on a Labor Day. I'll second Rich's coffee toast!!

Congratulations! Have a caffeine free diet Dr. Pepper on me!

Congratulations on another major milestone! May God grant you the will to make it to 24!!

me!

Got your email, same topic, and before heading to bed wanted to say the following to a great and wonderful friend:

YOU are a blessing on this earth and may all of your wishes, hopes and prayers come true!

We, each one of us, is different but we all share one thread in our lives - A desire to be ourselves and be accepted, respected and loved for just being 'me!'.

Mike, you obviously don't know much about Okla. There are so many Baptist here that the liquor stores are considered a non-profit service and are subsidized by the government. In other words there ain't a whole of drinking going on here. ;>)

BTW FYI the Sooners are currently ranked #1 in the nation they have had 8 national championships and 36 conference championships and have spanked your Longhorns 4 years in a row.

Me, sorry to change the topic but I had to give Mike a little education.

I'm betting you decided to go sober late in the day on Labor Day. LOL Good decision. Our family has been ravaged by alcoholisim. My father, my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law all died from alcohol abuse. My brother died of nicotine abuse. I'm sorry but I have to laugh at the "war on drugs" when the drugs that actually kill most of the people are not only condoned but in some cases even subsidised by out government. Get a D.A.R.E. booklet sometime and notice that tobaco and alcohol are not even mentioned. So once again congratulations for taking control of your life.

Never could be a Poet, I am still stuck in the 3rd grade model of Poetry MUST have rhyming words and sound right. I've never been good at the real stuff!.

I still think Ken Neeley is the best poet we have around here....

<i>'dem bassus, 'dem bassus

keep kicking my assus

'cuz sumtimes I ketch 'em

but most times I don't

I don't unnerstand

what kind of a plan

will help me put bassus

inside of my bote

Scents I have sprinkled

I tride thangs that twinkle

I've even used wurms

with bobbers that float

i think now i know

the way I should I go

"'dem bassus luv sparkles" (c)

dat's the end of my quote.

Ken Neeley</i>

Neeley's fine,..saw him a day or so after his Dad's funeral...he was spending time w/Jonathon while he was home.

He left to go back Sept. 2nd. All is well. (Ken's parent's live in the same sub I do,...so he stopped by on his way home from his mom's that weekend)..He's a trooper,..he'll be fine!!
