Ok so how do I block off the hole I drilled in the bow where the transducer wire for trolling motor goes through? hole on left of pic. That is the same as my storage compartment, I want to seal it so no water gets in there. How?

you might want to put a counter sink around the hole itself, I heard it keeps the hole from cracking further in the gelcoat.
 
Use a calm shell with sealant. This has been done millions of times......
 
CArefull with that one. It can pinch the wires.
 
I have used the cap shown before with success. You can remove some material to allow for bigger wires. Either way, use some silicone to seal the hole and chamfer it as suggested to alleviate chance for spider cracks.

My Dad did that on his 4 years ago and that plate cracked because the transducer wire is too big to squeeze in there, I wanted to do it the right way, it looks cheezy run into the side of the plate. I countersunk it last night
