I will continue to keep in touch with the people at BPS. I likely won't mention much until around Christmas to make sure that anyone who gets gifts is sure to also get their Rewards Points.
What I've been thinking so far is that we should start be keeping it simple and limited to one location. Every year the Missouri Department of Conservation has a Kids Fishing day out at Busch Wildlife Area just west of St. Louis..... We could pick some group of "Special Kids" that wouldn't normally get a chance to go and get them equipment. We wouldn't have to have a large presence there - just some of us to represent the group; if we find the right group of kids, their teachers, parents or guardians would have the primary responsibility.
For the donation of points, I will arrange with BPS for us to be able to do something like call in for points to be transfered to a gift certificate made out to something like "Fishing for Special Kids" and have them mailed to me or whomever might be best.
I'll also have to work on the good people at BPS to be sure that we are able to provide good, durable, easy to use rods and reels.
If we can make a small success out of it next Spring..... Maybe it will expand in following years!
