Bob, I am wanting to have my motor cover, and lower cowling ( believe that is what it is called) painted. I have a 2006 90 hp motor. I removed the 2 nuts in the front, and 2 bolts on the rear part of split cowling. It is loose, but won't come off. Is there any thing else that needs to come off? Is this a simple job, or should I bring it to a shop?

Thanks,

Bubby:)

You are right, they just pull off....once all the bolts are removed. I'll check tomorrow, but I think I remember FIVE. ;)

EDIT: Micro-fiche says "three", but I know the fourth is there....after removing them, the cowl is pressed into a seal that can be a bit difficult, don't be afraid to give it a "tug". ;)
