We have some family coming from NH in the next couple of weeks but August is wide open.

Hey Marke!

First weekend is taken up...

Not sure after that...

Jake and I always make a fishing trip before school starts back up...I'm sure he'd be game for coming over that way for at least part of the trip...



First place in our tournament last night...however...had to rely on my partner!!!

He caught a 5lb 3oz largemouth to take big bass and first place in total weight!!! It's OK with me!!! He got to net my fish last season, I'll gladly net his this season!!!

You guys ROCK!!! Craig and I have been fishing a team event every Wednesday. So far our best finish is 5th. If possible, try to bottle up some your tin MOJO and ship it my way...LOL



We get beat by the same 3 teams every week (same lake every week). We are FINALLY on a different lake this week. Hopefully that will level the playing field a little.

How'd you do last night in your tournament?

One keeper (1.33) several dinks, and about a dozen pike, some pretty nice size. Lots of small 1-2 fish bags, only 2 limits out of 21 boats. A couple teams just ahead of us zeroed, so we didn't hurt ourselves too bad.

I think this season's weather really has the bass screwed up...

We can normally weigh 3 or 4 decent fish in our 3 hour tournament...

Most this year have been won with one or two fish...



So, you guys are competing for a 'season' prize???

Nightly payout (around $225 a man for first, with 21 + boats they pay 3 places), several door prizes every night (Marke won a 7" MH BPS baitcast rod last night), and a year end championship (this year at Elk-Torch) in September/October.

Not sure yet. I know it's supposed to be windy. I have to decide if I want to battle wind and waves or go to a smaller lake and chase smaller bass or panfish. BTW have you ever fished Coldwater lake east of coldwater. The lake map looks interesting. Have a great weekend everyone I'm out of the office and into the field.

Ya gotta love Michigan, though, right? Being able to pick from all these lakes! Small, medium, large, or even GREAT Lakes!!!
