Hey guys ive been wanting to change some lines under the cowl? Is there a tool or a trick to get the zip ties all the way tight without it leaking? Thank ya'll so much i appreciate ya'll

First, you have to make sure you have the correct zip-ties. The ends are "curved" as opposed to a "flat", so it will contour the hose. Second, they do make a tool, for proper tightening. ALWAYS check for leaks by priming the bulb 'till firm, and inspect as required.

Thank you bob do you know what the tool is or where to get it. I appreciate you

Hey bob i got one more for u. Ive been wanting to get a hotfoot for my boat. Its a 2000 nx750. My question is on the throttle theres that button for the starting. Like i push in the button then push the lever forward to start the engine. So if i were to do the hotfoot how would that setup work?

No different than your car. The hot-foot will take care of ALL the throttle chores...the shifter will only do the "shifting". ;)

So bob i would have to push the button in then push the pedal down? Thanks bob i appreciate you

No, the complete throttle function will be removed from the shifter. No need to push any buttons....etc.....just like your car. Separate shift....separate throttle. ;)

Chris,

Let me take a stab at this because I am having a hard time understanding your starting procedure. When you start your boat, your throttle (lever on the right hand side that goes forward and backward for forward and reverse), must be in the neutral (straight up) position to start. As I type this I think I figured out what you mean.......I am now going to assume you push the center button on your throttle and push it forward to get a higher idle while still in neutral. The reason I missed that was that I had an efi and I never had to prime, choke or give it any additional fuel so I never used the red button to idle it up. With a hotfoot, you don't need to do that. You leave the throttle lever straight up and use your hotfoot to give it more gas while cranking...when it's running your throttle is all done by your foot, the handle just shifts forward and reverse.

TOXIC

Lol thats exactly what i was talking about i just didnt make any sense. Thank you toxic and bob ive been wanting to ask this for a while. Thanks again i appreciate ya'll
