Okay, so this is a follow up to the post entitled "charger question" -- I determined that the charger wasn't the issue. Batteries were topped off with distilled water last evening, and I plugged in the charger over night. The battery was still charging this morning (at 10amps, it should charge in 4-6 hours max) --

I presume then that the battery is shot, or at least going...? Thoughts?

Take the battery to an auto parts store and have them test the cells.

Yup, do a load test. You may have lost a cell. Had a brand new one from Wal-Mart crap out in 2 weeks. They went good, warranty is like 1-2 years. Let us know how it goes. But get it fixed. Nothing like cutting a great day on the water short because of a stupid battery!

If the batteries are not above a certain voltage( I think it's 3 volts) the charger will not charge them.
