Bilge pumps?

I want to add a 2nd bilge pump to my boat (glass) and want to know how I should mount it? I am thinking epoxy, my question is should I scuff/grind a spot on the inside of the hull to mount it or just clean it real good?

I would think sanding it a little would make the epoxy stick better:blink:
