Which Maxxum Trolling Motor

I am going to replace the original Motorguide 50 Tracker series trolling motor on my 1997 700LX. I was looking at getting either the Maxxum 55 with or without the Maximizer but I also thought about the Maxxum 70 but that would mean another battery. Also I do not do tournaments any more, what do you guys think?

Whichever one you get make sure you get the Maximizer. You will get a lot better battery life and the infinitely variable speed control is a plus.



I have the Maxxum 55 on my old Bass Tracker Tournament TX and, if I could find room for another battery, I would go to the 70.

Only get it with the Maximizer,huge difference. Now I own a Ranger r61 and do have a 70 Maxxum,if you can squeeze in a extra battery you will not regret it.

I will put in a third vote for the maximizer and a 24 volt system. You will not regret either one.
