I have seen and read a number of post on electrical problems, most which are bad connections or shorts. For the novice, I would purchase a good volt/amp/ohm meter (not the top of the line, just one that reads ac/dc volts, ac/dc amps and ohm's), learn how to use the meter and make or purchase meter cables that you can go from one end of the boat to the other.
Next remember KISS, not the rock group but Keep It Simple Stupid. Learn how to hopscotch in TS (do I have volts from A to B, change switch position, do I have volts from A to C).
I have posted the generic Tracker electrical wire color codes.
Any electrical store can supply you with a electrical lube to apply after you clean your connections. A corroded electrical connection is like closing down a water valve, it prevents full flow.
