Tach problem

I have a '96 TF170 Rick Clung Signature, 115 Tracker(Mariner) motor. All gauges work except tach; any ideas.:wacko::wacko:

Better experts are sure to chime in, but check the simple stuff first-contacts clean, connections tight. I would use emory cloth or a wire brush if you can. Marine environment and vibrations are not good for electronics.
