Removing Motor for Bob B

Getting ready to install the jack plate. I went to local Merc dealer and ask about lifting motor and they said I needed a special tool for $47 that mounts to the motor. Can you give me some info. Thanks :wacko:

Hey you need the lifting eye it screws in at the flywheel. I burrowed one for a deposit at a marina

Yes, that's correct, I let my customers "borrow it" with a C/C on file.

Well you see what the people at the closest marina wanted. Bob can you tell me the thread count.It may be something I can buy somewhere else.

Just bought a very nice one off of E-bay for $28, had it in two days. Worked like a charm. Just make sure you have the correct part number.
