This new pedestal eliminates having to remove the stick

for running or trailering. Patented design simply folds

down and locks for running, trailering or lift up and your

ready to fish. Take a look: www.kwikdrop.com

Makes fishing even more enjoyable and makes getting boat

ready much easier.

Easy Queen Mum!!!! The board is safe. He's just trying to show us something different. Go back and read his responses to my original post.

LOL,...no doubt!! Would rather see something new and unique related to FISHING,...than some of the "other" pix's that have been posted on this board!!

They've contacted me about sponsorship.

In the meantime, why not extend them the same courtesy we give to other newcomers?

Welcome Orville!!!

And Mac....surely you're not referring to a certain web-cam pic, are you???

Welcome Orville,

I for one think its a pretty neat invention. I am not sure that I will run out and buy one, but it is nice to see new stuff here from time to time.

Wolf

I like the idea myself, but since I never take those seats with me (got tired of tripping over them) won't do me much good...

Welcome aboard, stick around and conversate...

Sim,

I have been taking my seats out lately as well, much more room and I'm tripping over them anymore.

I will consider myslef spanked by Rich, but in my defense, MOST people say hi before trying to sell me something.

Best of luck!

Mini

WOO HOO! Someone comes in, asks about sponsoring the site, and posts their product. It usually happens that they skip any interest in being a sponsor. My hat goes off to at least approaching the advertising options.

It looks like it would work really well. I still don't know about the looks though. Welcome Orville.

Besides, I like Orville because he's older than I am:)

Bill

Hey Orville,

How about sponsoring a couple of us?

Send us a pedestal or 2, and let us use it and promote it up here on St. Clair and Erie.

One of the very few, Barham! :)

P.S.

As can be seen by my edits, I agree with Mike and Mini.

(I hate it when I have to agree with either of those two. :))

Orville, all you gotta do is ask Sue at Guest how well the banner has worked for her! And The Moors..... Well..... We're going back there for our rally next year just like we have the last two!

Hi everyone!

Didn't expect this much response this fast.

Really I'm not a salesman! I'm more of a Gadgetman.

Happen to own a machine shop and just made this thing to

make life easier. All major retailers are going to carry

the "KwiKDrop" in spring 2005 but meanwhile I have 1000

units ariving in less than a month and rather than sit on

em (excuse the pun) I'm offering some real bargains to keep

myself out of poorhouse.

This is a neat site, looking forward to chatting with you folks, and yes my marketing manager has contacted Rich to

work out sponsorship.

Orville Welker

Again, Orville, I apologize. :)

I guess it isn't who came first, the chicken or the egg.....

But how you make the soup and omlet!

Thanks Bill,

I always tell my kids that nature is not so unkind as to

make you older without making you smarter.

However, I used to walk down the street and the young

ladies would smile.

NOW THEY LAUGH OUT LOUD!!

Orv

Orville -

I just got home and this was in my e-mail:

Subj: Basstracker / Nitro info

Date: 8/2/04 5:02:26 PM Central Daylight Time

From: BASSTRACKERnitro

To: (I deleted 28 of our e-mail addresses.)

Hi, my name is Don Welker - I own a Nitro, my father owns a Bass tracker and a Manufacturing Machine Shop. We came out with a new product - I thought you might be interested in. - The world's first collapsible pedestal - we call it the KwiKDrop.

Its a common problem when your running from one fishing spot to the next that unless YOU REMOVE that front seat - YOU CANT SEE WHERE YOUR GOING. My dad got tired of trying to see around the front seat and his fishing buddy ( my brother ) got tired of removing the front pedestal and seat so as to see where they were going. So he went to work with his engineering staff to solve this age old problem. The result -

the world first collapsible pedestal. http://www.kwikdrop.com/

Check out the site and let me know what you think. We hit the market a few months ago and the response has been great. They will be in Most Major Retailers this spring, They will retail between 119 and 129.00.

As a fellow Nitro or Bass Tracker owner we are offering a hugh discount.

If you call our company and mention this email and you will get wholesale pricing - meaning you can pay what all the retailers cost is. If you buy one and are not happy for any reason we will refund your money - No questions asked. Once you use it once - you'll never go back to the stick pedestal again.

Our company website is http://www.welkeryoung.com Click on the marine products link. or visit http://www.kwikdrop.com ( If the sites busy check back due to high traffic on it ) We also make towbars for corporate jets and have for over 20 years. About a years worth of engineering went into this unique new product. On kwikdrop.com - most of your questions will be answered - if not feel free to call or email me.

The most common question is - is it sturdy - YES it is more sturdy and stable then a regular pedestal. It exceeds Class B standards by far ( Class B is what regular pedestal are rated. ) Thank you for your time & if you haven't been having luck with the bass lately - try a Sour Grape ( its a blue green worm with flakes ) - They seem to be tearing it up here in Missouri and down in Texas.

YOUR COST WILL BE 79.99 and 1 cent shipping - So 80 Dollars Total. You must mention this email for the WHOLESALE PRICE. We accept checks, money orders, credit cards and Paypal . Yes it cost more than a " Stick" but it does something a stick can not do. It Kwikly drops out of your vision path.

Ps. This is a onetime email and you are not on any list of any kind so you will not receive any future emails from us.

Please tell me you knew nothing about this.....

I really don't want to have to go back and put my edited comments back in.....

P.S.

I have been on this site almost since it's inception. In those 4 years, I have never received an e-mail asking me to purchase anything or offering any products for sale. I can tell you that I really don't like it one bit.

Staci,

This morning when I found your website I told Donnie to

check with manager and see if we could become a sponsor.

It certainly seems like an excellent site to introduce a

new product. No I did not know he was emailing membership.

Donnie is pretty aggressive on sales. We will stop immediately and I apologize to you and your members.

I really enjoy your site as I have a Basstracker Pro 175 and enjoy comments from other owners.

We will proceed with sponsorship when Rich returns from

vacation on Friday, if its alright with you.

Again I apologize to you and membership. My intentions were

to inform members of a product to make their fishing trips

more enjoyable.

Orville

Dave,

As a saleperson yourself I know you realize how hard it is

to get the word out on new products. Donnie is a very

aggresive salesperson and I know you can appreciate that.

We have been in contact with Rich Sterns and he is on vacation right now.

In the mean while, I certainly don't want to offend anyone

and my apology to Staci is genuine.

BTW I scare pretty easy!

Orv

Dave,

I believe he is apologizing for spamming some members here via e-mail, NOT posting on the site.

I did not receive the mail, but apparently, quite a few others did.

And Orville,

If you scare easily, watch out....you ain't seen NOTHING yet!!! LOL

Like Staci in a magenta nightie!!!

I got the email too....now my guess is that the "aggressive" salesman will sell the list if this doesnt work for him.

This is exactly what is killing the internet from its original purpose AND this is the first time that I have ever gotten one from being associated with this site (that I know of).

I for one am not happy that this company has added to my daily spam. (while I was gone for the Classic, I received 700+ emails, 500+ were spam)

Mini

I asked Don to stop emailing the members, pointing out that it is against the rules.

Mini, I think the Welkers are just getting started and don't know anything about 'netiquette. We'll have to help them along. I don't think your email address will get sold to anyone.

Why is everyone so uptight ? I saw the pedistal on a guided tour in Springfield and I awaiting my new Tracker to be delivered and you can bet your sweet pa-toot-E I will have one on my boat. At least they are not hocking Herbal pills. Now thats spam - this is just a god product. GO KWIKDROP. Staci GO fishing more you seem alittle stressted.

Sorry all - But you have to admit - its a SAFER and more SIMPLE way of doing things. George - email me my friend - Ill send you 2 Kwikdrops for free. I like your style.
goodbyestick.JPG

George,

You come on with a bogus membership e-mail address and proceed to tell others they are uptight?

Maybe it's a well-timed e-mail by "Donnie" designed to sell some product.

And Orville, if every company that sells anything fishing related sent you just one e-mail each, you would spend years reading them and getting enlightened.

Email has stopped - it was not my intent to offend anyone - just let them know there is a better way out there. Again - Sorry. Don

I agree Ken

I sometimes lose customer orders because they get lost in

junk mail. It's a real problem but its part of today's

world. Yet every now and then I find things in my

email that does help solve problems.

Orv

If you look to your left just a few inches there is a link to the "Terms and Conditions" of the NTOWS. It would seem to me that anybody wanting to do business with the members of an orgnization might want to read what is involved. Here you go Don and Orville I'll help:

Solicitation and Commercial Advertisements

Advertising and soliciting in any forum of this web site is limited to paying sponsors of this web site. You may not offer any products or services for sale on the web site unless you are an approved sponsor or you have received express permission from the site publisher. Members may offer items for sale in the Swap and Sell forum, provided that the item or items are a one-time sale and not intended to generate repeat business. Member and visitor email addresses found on this web site may not be used for email solicitiation unless the member who will receive the email has requested that information be sent.

Hope that helps.

Harpo

Don, this hole thread is out of hand but if you want to send a phony poster something free, please do so. Then he can send us another phony posting telling us how great it is.

I mean no offense, but until I see one or test one, I don't have to admit anything much less that's it's "safer and more Simple"...

Bill

Sorry for the edit but just noticed what Ken was talking about. George's e-mail address is BS! Don, why does George have to send you his e-mail address. Just look in the member profiles and his e-mail will be there. Try sending to it!

Bill

Harpo,

We contacted and talked with site manager but we did jump

the gun here a little. We stand before you with bowed heads

and plead for forgivness.

Please understand we're just some small time local Missouri

boys trying market a better mouse-trap. Thought that was as

American as apple pie.

Orv.

Bill - have you went to the site ? I m guessing not. It is safer because most people try and see around the front seat - I know was guilty of that - Now I dont have to. Simple - because you lift up or down to operate it. All joking aside go to the site and tell me what you really think. There is a video of it working. If your still conveinced - email me your address and Ill send you one - If you like it pay us - if not throw it in the lake or use it as an anchor ( but it only weighs 5 lbs ) Im not kidding - hows that sound. ??? Don

Ya know something, Orville..... I like your attitude!

Now, we all know that I have NEVER done or said anything here that I wish I hadn't..... But..... If I had..... I would hope that I would have the guts that you have shown to stand up and take all the darts that have been thrown at you and apologize..... Without trying to defend your actions in any way.

You're all right, Orville!

Please stick around!

Please continue to share your experiences with us as you have in some other posts!

Please make new experiences and friends here as we all have!

me!

And, damitt, Neeley! It was LAVENDER, damitt. LAVENDER!

Lavender, magenta, what's the difference....my retina's are still burning.

And Donnie...I asked above if Orville wanted to sponsor a couple of us to test your product under tourney conditions on rough water...no response.

Staci,

Thank you and all your members for the response.

I really do enjoy this site and plan to stick

around. Donnie thanks you as well for the response.

Good nite all and good fishing

And Orville,

I forgive you, now to make up for it, send each and every member one of your products!!! LOL

Don, sounds great but I meant what I said and I truly mean no offense. If you look at some of my other responses in the other threads I agreed with you. I said, and I'm paraphrasing here. It looks like a good idea but I am still not sure of the looks..

Your guess is wrong, I HAVE seen the site or I would not have made the comments I did, and I am NOT putting down your product. And I have seen the video. What I said was "I don't have to admit anything"! I have not used or even tried your product, ergo., I can't "Admit" it's better until I do.

I will mull over your offer though I am not a "get something free" guy. I was not lambasting you, though as Ken said, the "George" post was bogus and that angered me.

I know you are proud of your prodect and I wish you nothing but good will in regard to it. BUT, watch the "George" type e-mails and you will get along a lot better with all..

Thanks Don, I hope you are sincere with your posts..

Bill

Ken,

We have already given several of our KwiKDroP to pro's for

testing but let me get back with you.

Orville

Don't you wish they were, Neeley! :)

Say goodnite, Dick.

Goodnite, Dick!

Staci, Lavender, magenta, MAUVE, are NOT colors! Red, Green, Blue are colors... Ask any man:)

And yes, if you have to ask if you're fat in anything, YOU ARE:)

Bill

Lavender isn't a color? :(

Did Neeley also say I looked fat? :(

You should see him in his french maid outfit with Meyer.....

Here's the brutal truth of it all... 4:00 AM... two full bottles of bourbon and too many beers to count... Neeley in a French Maid outfit... my bad eyesight... And, sadly he still was a "2"... (maybe even a "1 to 1 1/2"... Nobody could get drunk enough...)

If I'm lucky enough to make it to next year's rally, "WOULD SOMEONE REMIND ME TO GET MY OWN PRIVATE ROOM"!!!!! LMAO Robert

Kentucky Fried Cinco de Mayo, Robert!

Where else you gonna get a chance to see a Mariachi band composed of three Vietnameese guys in sombreros with guitars??!!??

Okay, I'll try to give benefit of the doubt here.

Don says he's send George two freebies, but since George has a fake email address, you can't send them to him. But Ken, on the other hand, DOES have a real email address and he only wants one. Seems to me there's a win-win situation there -- Don only has to give up one freebie AND Ken will actually still be here to tell us what his opinions are.

Orville, just take the cost of the freebie out of Don's check. He'll understand :).

You are forgiven, but certainly not forgotten.

What "Pro's" have you sent one to?

Personally I wouldnt use the product as I never use the folding seat anyway and RARELY do I have a seat and pedestal on the bow.

Good luck, and if I get one more email from you.....lol

Mini

I'm really stupid and will believe anything anyone tries to pull over my eye's Daaaaaaaa.That.s why I just sit at home all day and watch the home shopping network! And know I can visit this site to.

Mark, I have this perfectly nice bridge that I'm not using anymore. It even comes with a small body of water under it loaded with Hawg Bass. Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours. I'll even pay the shipping:)

Bill

I assume the problem with spamming unsolicited membership has stopped. I did not respond anywhere to this post and got spammed anyway. Quite a busy salesman. I don't mind the spam as much as the imbedded virus that came with it, at least that's what my virus blocker told me before it flamed the email off my system. Spam is not nice, spam with a virus is downright dangerous!!

TOXIC

Interesting Tox...

I got the email and it passed through my "gateway" running Trends gateway services.. no virus... and past my exchange server again Trend Scanmail... No virus reported... What are you running? Some false positives are possible...

Maybe that's why I'm having problems now.I think I need to check my anti-virus software I'm having some problems with pop-ups that will not close. And I have anti pop-up software!

Bill, through in a toll booth and you got yourself a deal my brother!lol

Mark,

Run a scan from www.antivirus.com... free on line scan... very good or another is www.pandasoftware.com their's is called Active Scan... also good for a fast checkup

Ok...

I specifically state in this thread "sounds neat, not interested"... and don "the aggressive sales person" still sends me an email?

Dated today, timestamped at 2:19.

Methinks he isn't listening very well...

Yep... going to the source headers, clearly sent today.

Simmy, what kind of email? A personal one, relating to your comments here, or a generic spam type?

generic spam... including the bad spelling...

and...

As a fellow Nitro or Bass Tracker owner we are offering a hugh discount.

I don't know who "hugh" is, but his discount isnt enough for me...

I got one to...some time today after 12..i will check the time.

PS if your send out freebies put me on the list otherwise quit sending me spam.

Donnie...not Don the Salesman

I wonder if they offer a "Hugh Jas" discount. I might get one for free :)

This ain't funny. I don't like being spammed....illegally so that my spam blocker won't catch it!! Play by the rules both here and put SPAM in your e-mail header.

TOXIC

[email protected]

This is the sender who sent me an e-mail at 1:58 pm today.

How bout we all send him an e-mail saying that we want to be taken off the mailing list!

Wolf

Wolf,

Feel free...

However, He came on this site and promised no more unsolicited emails to the members, and he continues.

He needs to come clean here and publicly.

He also needs to stop the practice.

Rich? You there? What can we do to prevent people such as him from havesting the emails?

I'm not suggesting this for him specifically , but if someone is really bothering you, you can go to a whole bunch of porn sites and register using whatever e-mail you want!!!

LMAO KEN! Only you would do that...

and that really explains my inbox of late!!!

Sim-

the only way to prevent it would be to take your e-mail out of your profile.Even though Rich doesn't allow it,there is really nothing to stop somebody from signing up and having access to all members e-mail addresses.

I like Wolf's idea, everybody send ten e-mails to the spammers address.

I just printed out the last few posts regarding e-mails today and faxed them to Orville at the # listed on the website: 636-332-0081

Got fax?

Does he realize that he is not making many points. I guess people like that would rather piss off 100 or 200 people just to get one order. After all he doesn't really know any of us here so he has nothing to loose.

I ain't ordering any....You here that mr. salesman

Wolf

I had all the email address in a Emailer Software program yesterday afternoon. When I heard it was a problem I closed the program but it mails them in out every 30 minutes, not all at once, so even though I closed the program it was still sending them. I was made aware of the problem today and deleted the whole Software Program off my PC. It was not my intent to upset anyone. I emailed Rich after I found out about it a little while ago. I ASSURE YOU ALL - IT HAS STOPPED. Sorry for the confusion. Dont bother sending in all the faxes Orville broke it over my head after smashing my keyboard over my back. He figured a good WHAM was in order for all the SPAM. But seriously - Sorry all and best of luck fishing whether its with the KwiKDrop or the regular pedistal. Best Regards. Don

LMFJNO!!!!!!!

just have to get that one last plug in.........

I have to admit Don,you don't give up
