How often to you need to change a impeller on a boat motor??

Most websites/manuals suggest every 3 years regardless of hours. It's the cheapest insurance you can get, and really not difficult.

I change mine yearly, I fish the river alot, when I do my yearly maint. Mostly for piece of mind more than anything

3-years is what the mechanic up here in Minneapolis reccomends. Had mine go out while on the river and 22 miles from the ramp. Tough lesson to learn in the first year of owning my first oat! I'll make sure to change that bad boy as reccomended.
