Just finished registering on-line. You get a temp. card now and a perm. card in the mail. It will need to be presented to the law enforcement folks when they stop and check your fishing license. Fishing off-shore I have to register based on the 3 mile Fed. requirement anyway.



Looks like the main purpose of the survey dealing with the Bay and feeder rivers is for Anadromous fish:

It looks like VA is possibly trying to get "exempted state" status for 2011.



Based on a Virginia Marine Resources Commission report to the General Assembly on the subject. It would cost VA nearly half a million dollars to implement the new system without any changes to the current licensing structure.





However, if they change the current licensing structure to eliminate REC SW Boat licenses and Pier Licenses and free Private Property fishing. Then they could generate an estimated additional 3 million in revenue per year and then be in compliance and get exempted status. With the promise of almost 3 million more in funds per year if they comply, I wonder which way they will go with this...?



Looks like if they go the way of compliance then VA anglers wont need to pay the annual fee next year.

AND NOW YOU ARE GOING TO FIX THE NATIONS FISHERIES BY CHARGING FEES ON TOP OF FISHING LICENSES AND GATHER ALL THE INFORMATION TO FIX IT FROM FROM "FISHERMAN, HUNTERS AND OTHER LIARS" ??????
