2014 Tracker Pro Guide 175 Combo Rear Livewell

I tried to insert the elevated drain tube in the drain hole of my rear livewell today and it would not fit. The elevated tube is a hard plastic. I do not remember the gasket/o-wring of the drain being as brittle or unyielding. Has anyone else dealt with this? Thanks. Nick
