2006 nitro stereo problem

Brought this boat New. Almost from the beginning had trouble with stereo. Gets hot and kicks off. replaced both the stereo (got extremely hot as soon as l hooked up the new one) and speakers and still have same problem. any help would be great!

Your first stop if the boat was new and under warranty would have been to go to the dealer. I would say you have a problem in the wiring.

I would leave it off until dealer finds the problem.

I'd make em' replace it.

If your boat is out of warranty, I would start from scratch and rewire the power to the stereo from the battery and rewire the speakers.

With some Nitro's if it was wired in to the fuse panel directly the hot wire will be hot to the touch. $5.00 relay will cure what ailes you.
