03-200 Water pump

Anybody out there changed a water pump in a 200hp Merc? I've got all the parts and just haven't tackled it yet.How hard is it and what do I need to look for?

I've done my 90 Mercs and it is not that bad, I can't see why the 200 would be that much different. I got into a litle "bind" once when I got the lower unit out of gear once and need a little help getting it back, if you get this messed up you won't shift correctly, but was not that hard once I got it back right. I would think with that 200 you will want a buddy helping you.

Put it in forward gear before you drop the LU. The bolts holding the top of the impeller housing just need to be snugged up, don't try to tighten them to much or you'll strip them oput. Very easy job.
