It made it to around 50 degrees in western Pa today and I finally went fishing.Had the boat all together after putting in new carpeting and re-doing all the wireing, had to go and see if everything worked. The river was VERY HIGH and VERY MUDDY.had to launch the boat where I usually park the truck and trailer.
The water was 36 degrees at the launch so I made the 10 mile run to the power plant. At the discharge the temp was in the mid 50's.Didn't catch any smallies ,but got into a school of white bass.Caught a few in the 3lb range and had a ton of hits and a few hooked that got off.All in all it was a great first day on the water.Too bad the weather is dropping back into the twentys tomorrow.
