I regularly read on this forum of water pressure to be at 15psi. I have a 2011 115 Pro XS on a Z6 that since new has never shown 15psi. It max's out at around 12psi but never has an overheating issue. Average is around 10psi on the guage and water flow from the telltale is strong. I run in saltwater most of the time if that has any bearing on pressure at all.

I guess my question is, since this has been the norm since new, is it actually a problem?

I have a 2011 150 pro xs on a z7 and i have the same exact water pressure readings 12 is the norm on mine, i havent had any problems

That's because the both of you are within spec. 1.7 litre and 2.5 litre OPTI'S range is 11-14PSI.

This is a prime example of "not all 150's are created equal". The Carb, EFI, Pro-Max series of 2.5 / 150 have a "minimum" operating pressure of 15PSI......VERY important that the serial / model are identified when comparing or when asking questions.....;)

Thanks Bob ,I was kinda worried about that after reading all the post about 15psi, now I can ride with my mind at ease

Yer, Cheers Bob. I was looking at the routing of the water pressure hose on the weekend and that prompted the question, I guess all it takes a tight cable tie or kinked routing and the guage reads innacurrately.

Thanks for the info.;)
