Sorry guys ,just got back from dealer the plastic cup/hose(fits over the underside of the deck ) in the front storage of a 901 will fit the 882 like a champ . with that in place, you can fish without the butt seat and your stuff stays dry.just order it from your dealer

Please expound on this post, I never ever ever use my seat and get the wet water problem as well. There is a hose to solve this????

My 882 came with on already installed. its a plastic thing that fits on the bottom of the pedistal mount and has a hose that goes into the bilge. i thought it was standard because mine came with it.

anybody got a part number for this? i usually don't put anything in the seat pin either and do get caught in the rain fishin and trailering.

My 929 came with two black plugs, or caps that fit in the seat holes and keeps water and sinkers out. My 929 has two holes on the front deck for the butt seat, so I keep one that I am not using plugged. Hope this helps. Later<>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Jack
