We have just purchased a 2005 Nitro700LX DC. Nice boat, but neither of us know what the switch to the right of the drivers' seat is for. There are no wires attached to it. I'm thinking someone tried to do some aftermarket item and/or took off the original fishfinder and replaced it with a different switch. Does anyone else with this type of boat have this switch? If so, what is it supposed to go to?

Many thanks!

I also own a 2005 700lx, although mine is a single console, otherwise they are the same boat. the only switch my boat has to the right of the drivers seat is the ignition (on-off) switch. the key wont start the boat unless the switch is in the on position.

No....There are no wires hooked up to it. The ignition switch is actually on the left in ours. (Just replaced that, too.) The baitwell switches are to the right of the steering wheel. I'm thinking this switch must have been to an aftermarket addition of some sort that a previous owner removed from the boat. It's not hurting anything, it's just odd.:)

That is the switch to put fish in the boat... until you get that hooked up right you won't catch a thing...LOL (No wonder the last guy sold that boat)

Oh.....So THAT's why I didn't catch anything the other day!....Will have to make sure the darned thing is set the other direction when we go out next~!~

I think it must have been to an older hummingbird unit or something. The last owner purchased a new unit and had it installed and I think the boat might have come with one at the console, as well as up by the trolling motor. That's okay....I'll figure out a use for it!
