GOT A CALL FROM TRACKER--THEY ARE GOING TO REPLACE MY BOAT. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE PROCESS THAT THEY GO THRU. THE DEALER TO DATE HAS NOT TOLD ME ANYTHING.

I HAVE MADE ALL THE PHONE CALLS TO TRACKER AS TO THE STATUS. I WONDER WHAT THEY'LL REPLACE IT WITH---CERTAINLY NOT ANOTHER 2000--BECAUSE I'LL BE SENDING THE BOAT BACK TO THE FACTORY EVERY MONTH. I'M GOING TO CALL THEM AGAIN NEXT WEEK.

FOR SOME REASON YOU CAN'T TALK TO THE SUPERVISOR OR MANAGER AT THE FACTORY, ONLY THE DEALER CAN.

BASED ON ALL THE DATA THAT HAS BEEN COMPILED ON THIS WEB SITE IN REFERNCE TO THE TV18 HULL/TRANSOM PROBLEMS WITH A 150HP I WOULD NOT TAKE ANOTHER 2000, MAYBE A 2001 OR 2002.

Nick,

COngrats on your stickign with this. Hope the new one works out well for you.

Nick,

I'm glad to hear that your getting a new boat. I can only imagine that you would get a 2002 or 2003. I don't know if they would even have an old 2001 "kicking around" some where.

I hear the new 2003 comes with a factory installed deck extension with extra storage. That would SWEET!!! I hear it's laid out like the 9 series storage (1 large lid up front and 2 small lids right behind it).

I'm trying to find out if the extension is available for older model TV-18's. I'll post when I find out.

Hey guys.

Check out the pictures I think you will like it they just filed in the open middle and widened the rod boxes some.

I like it and am thinking about taking my passenger counsel out and adding that compartment.

That compartment and a duel counsel would be tight.

Congrats Nick! Push for the 2003!!!

Marke, if they do make the extention for the older boats, give us a heads up, I would love one!!!

Hello Nick

My computer has been down so i would like to know all about your problem, I too have the Tracker 18 2000 model and would like to know more, Please fill free to e-mail me. @ [email protected] Thanks

I built my own storage compatment to fill the center cutout of the deck, aluminum angles and marine plywood and carpet, worked great bigger deck and more storage.

Paul there are photos of the 2000 and 2001 comparisons, if you search the message board for TV18 and TV 18 photos you will see a good deal of data that everyone has submitted to this message board in reference to the 2000 TV18 hull problems.

Charlie, I checked out the pics in your library and the 03' TV-18 ROCKS!!! Did they change the color to a darker gray or is that just the way the pics came out? I hope we get on in the showroom soon.

Nick, try to post pics of your deck extension into your library so we can see it.

Bruce, after looking at Charlies pics the deck is definately integrated right into the whole deck design, it's not something that can be dropped in or added.

I was going to build one using 80/20 Aluminum extrusion components but I no longer have access to such materials since I changed jobs.

Ah-hem....

I would just like to point out how Tracker is now installing lid pulls on those 2003-model front deck lids. But you guys saw that idea HERE, FIRST!
