Good morning guys. Can someone tell me the diameter of the lag bolts that mount the bunk to the trailer. It's a 2001 trailstar. I lost one at the end of last season and that bunk is being held in place with electrical tape. The bunks are all original and of course, all need to be replaced. I plan to pick up all the materials on my way home from work today but I neglected to check the diameter of those lags. Thanks.

If i remember correctly mine were 3/8" on my 882's trailer.

Don-R - How did you "managed to figure out how to prevent the bolt heads from contact with the boat."?? Counter sink the bolt screw head from the top?

I did mine with Lag Bolts 2 years ago, and i've got a small tear in the carpet from one of my rivets, I was thinking next winter of doing them again with thicker carpet and wonder how you were going to do it.

3/8", Thanks Jim B.

I'm just going to go with the galvanized lags. I'll put some silicone in the holes before driving them in. I'm going to use pressure treated wood, so hopefully the bunk won't rot out around the bolts as quickly as the untreated factory bunks did. I'm really surprised that they've lasted this long.
