Tracker Steering System type

I have a 1988 tracker Magna 17 Convertible I purchased last year used of course. I am not very familiar with the types of steering systems used. I was wondering how I would determine the type of steering system I have on my boat. It has a 1988 90hp mercury outboard on it if this makes any difference.
