TrepMan, good post about the gauge. Keep your dash mount gauge the way it is because this will let you know if your altenator on your motor is putting back 12+ volts. Your altenator will probably put out around 13+. Watch the pointer and it most likely will be above the 12v mark. That will be o.k.. Last summer I looked into that project but never got around to hooking it up. I want to mount and install it up front. I think it will be more useful there. I'll post some pictures when I get it done.
 
Thanks Spanky, I agree too on putting the trolling motor battery meter up front, great idea!



Budget is tight around here (gotta wait and see in May if the boss gives me a raise) so not a lot of extra $$ to spend on the boat right now. What i'd really love is a little LED guage that shows say 5 bars when fully charged and then drops a bar as it looses charge, that would be COOL!
