TM ? for Ken

Ken, I put the 50" Motorguide with a big wator gator on last year. When stowed and running, it tends to flex, and bounce a lot. It has even begun to crack and chip the gel coat on the gunnel beneath the head. Will get that fixed this year, but I keep reading about "bounce busters" or other TM protectors. Scoured the BPS catalog and found nothing. You guys have anything like that, or know where I can get one? How to they mount? To the boat or TM?

Call Motorguide directly,....they'll ship you one. NO boat should be without one!!! It'll save your gel, your locking pins, and a lot of wear and tear on your mounting bracket!! Also add a T/M tie down strap along with the bounce buster,....those 2 things in combination make a VERY secure setup!!

Infact,..I think Craig can probably order one for you,.....most M/G dealers have them in stock too.

Craig, you have this get up? Let me know how much for both please. Mac, thh tie down goes under the gator right? And is velcro like my last and loops up over the shaft. Where does the buster go?

you remove the bottom forward most pin (under the trolling motor head) when the motor is in the stowed position,....and the buster is a "U" shaped bracket that fits in the bracket. After positioning the B/B you simply re-install the pin into the mounting bracket. The B/B is made out of a PVC type material (the bracket is steel) but you can cut it to length and then you're golden!!

Still don't understand totally, but I'm sure it comes with instructions. I got on the MG site and it said it fits Gator 20 & 23 mounts only. Not sure if mine falls into that category. It's the big wator gator. Definately need to get one though!

It deffinetely comes with instructions,...you won't have any problems installing it. It should fit both mounts,....the portion of the mounting bracket where the B/B installs is the same for Big Water and B/M II brkts.
